Jharkhand will hold its first phase of elections tomorrow and the fate of many staunch supporters, including former Prime Minister Champai Soren, is at stake.

The fate of former Selekela chief minister Champai Soren hangs in the balance

Meanwhile, the state’s former chief minister Champai Soren himself is contesting from the Selekela seat to maintain his legacy. Apart from this, his son Babulal Soren is the BJP candidate from Ghatshila. Babral Solon is also responsible for carrying forward the political legacy of his father, Champai Solon. Meanwhile, Jagat Manjhi, son of former state minister and sitting MP Joba Manjhi, is also in the electoral fray from the Manoharpur seat.

At the same time, the political credibility of the six ministers of Hemant Soren’s cabinet in the first phase is also at risk. These include minister-candidate from Ghatshila Ramdas Soren, minister-candidate Dr Rameshwar Oraon, minister Deepak Biruva, minister Bana Gupta and minister Mithilesh Thakur.

15344 election polling stations

A total of 15,344 polling stations with 43 seats were set up in the first phase, including 2,628 urban polling stations and 12,716 rural polling stations. The total number of voters in this phase is Rs 1 crore 36 lakh 85 thousand 509. Among them, the number of male voters is 6.8 million 65,002 208. Some important information about voting

Out of 15,344 polling stations across 43 seats, voting at 14,394 polling stations will be held from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, while voting at 950 polling stations will be held only from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm .

There will be a total of 15,344 polling stations in the first phase, of which 1,152 polling stations will be run by women, 23 polling stations will be run by youths and 24 polling stations will be run by youths. Disabled hand.

Voting will be held only at 950 remote and Naxal-affected polling stations in the state between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm. Employees have been flown by helicopter to many polling stations.

Jharkhand Chief Electoral Officer said voting secrecy is mandatory. It is prohibited to bring mobile phones, take photos, or record videos in the booth. If this is done, action will be taken in accordance with the rules.

Since the implementation of the Model Code of Conduct in the state, illegal materials and cash worth Rs 179 crore and Rs 14 lakh have been seized and 54 cases have been registered so far.

The second phase of voting will be held on November 20.
