Odisha: Addicted to color trading app, racked up debt of Rs 25 lakh; young man commits suicide

In Odisha’s Jharsuguda, a young man who was deeply in debt committed suicide. The young man was addicted to the “color trading” app and took a loan of over Rs 25 lakh. The deceased has been identified as Achyutanand, a resident of Kendrapara. Before committing suicide, he wrote a suicide note to his father. Here he apologized and stated that he could not be a good son, nor a good brother, uncle, aunt and friend. He stated that he was in debt because of the Color Trading App and that the burden was beyond his ability to bear.

According to police, Achyutanand committed suicide by jumping in front of a train on the railway tracks late Sunday night. His body was discovered on Monday morning and his family was notified after identification. After family members rushed to the scene, the body was sent for autopsy. According to the police, the family of the deceased has been questioned in this regard. It was revealed that Achyutananda had sent an emotional message to his father through WhatsApp before committing suicide.

He wrote in the article that he was a failed son, brother, uncle, uncle and friend. He betrayed everyone’s trust. He cannot bear this burden. He wrote in the message that he had been investing in Color Trading App for a long time and had taken a loan of over 2.5 million rupees in this matter. He does not have the strength to bear this debt. He wrote that the stress of the loan crushed him.

According to police, Achyutanand’s last messages made it clear that he was unable to recover from the debt and application fraud. In this case, he committed suicide while apologizing to his family. Police said the incident was a serious warning about how people could lose their money by getting caught up in online gambling and trading apps. At present, although the police have registered the incident under the Independent Criminal Procedure Code, the police have begun investigating various angles related to the case.
