This painting by Ada was recently auctioned for approximately Rs 11.13 million. The painting’s auction was organized by an organization called Sadbeej. Let us tell you that the humanoid robot Ai-Da starts drawing in 2022. The robot was created by Aidan Mellor in collaboration with artificial intelligence experts from the Universities of Oxford and Birmingham.
The painting, created by a robot, received 27 bids and was purchased by an anonymous person from the United States. According to the New York Times, the painting was exhibited under the name “AI God” and featured a photo of the British mathematician. Bidding for this was over $1 million. The initial bid for the painting was $180,000, which is about Rs 1.50 lakh.
Who is Ada?
Ai-Da is a humanoid robot named after 19th-century mathematician Ada Lovelance. Ada is known as the world’s first computer programmer. This humanoid robot was developed in 2019 by modern art expert Adam Meller. The robot was created by more than 30 artificial intelligence researchers from the Universities of Birmingham and Oxford, in collaboration with Aidan Mellor.
The humanoid robot was given female-like facial features. This robot can draw. To do this, the robot uses cameras mounted in its eyes. The camera provided uses artificial intelligence algorithms, and the painting is done through a robotic arm. According to reports, this humanoid robot has created 15 different paintings so far.
