Singapore: After successfully completing his trip to Australia, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has now arrived in Singapore on Friday for his next assignment. There, he met Singapore’s Deputy Prime Minister Gan Kim Yong and discussed with him ways to advance the bilateral partnership. During the dialogue between the two leaders, the focus was on areas such as industrial parks, innovation and semiconductors. Jaishankar arrived in Singapore, the second leg of his visit to the two countries.
Jaishankar has visited Australia before. He further promoted bilateral partnerships to strengthen India-Australia ties. Among other things, he surprised Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau by issuing a joint statement with Australia against the attack on a Hindu temple in Brampton, Canada. Trudeau was shocked by this tactic of Jaishankar, who is on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s diplomatic mission. It got so bad that they even banned an Australian channel that was broadcasting news about the joint statement on the Hindu temple attacks in Canada. This shows how India successfully surrounded Canada with its friendly countries.
Jaishankar tweeted
