Amit Shah: Tougher attacks on terrorists will be carried out, government will introduce national counter-terrorism policy

A more violent attack on terrorism is about to begin. Union Home Minister Amit Shah made a major announcement in this regard. He said on Thursday that the government would soon introduce a national anti-terrorism policy to combat terrorism. The Modi government is committed to ending terrorism. We are taking concrete strategies to end this situation. Law and order are the mainstay of the state. But terrorism has no limits. Therefore, various security agencies should work together. To eliminate terrorism, joint strategies should be developed and intelligence inputs shared.

The Home Minister said that the government has introduced model methods in the form of ATS and STF for states and Union Territories. If implemented, it will serve as a common framework and platform for combating terrorism. We must work together to fight terrorism.

New officers must undergo training

Amit Shah said that in accordance with Prime Minister Modi’s resolution, for the country to achieve development by 2047, everyone must deal with security challenges. A comprehensive ecosystem must be established to combat terrorism. Security forces must provide training for new (young) police officers. Beyond that, technology must be used.

He said that since Narendra Modi became prime minister in 2014, the country was advancing a specific counter-terrorism strategy. We are committed to ending it. The world has accepted Prime Minister Modi’s policy of not tolerating terrorism. Terrorist incidents have dropped by 70% compared to previous decades.

Amit Shah said that with the efforts of the central and state governments, violence in Jammu and Kashmir, Naxalite-affected areas and northeastern states has been brought under control to a great extent in the past 10 years. NIA takes action under UAPA in terrorist cases. Thus, out of 632 cases registered by the NIA, chargesheets have been filed in 498 cases. About 95% of cases were punished.
