WPL Retentions 2025: RCB and Mumbai retain these players, show them way out

The WPL starts in 2023 and has been held for two seasons so far. Mumbai Indians have won the championship once and RCB have won it once too. Delhi Capitals reached the finals twice but failed both times. Now, all teams have announced their reserved lists ahead of the 2025 Women’s Super League mini-auction.

RCB retains 14 players

The RCB team has released seven players, including star players such as Heather Knight. The RCB team has retained players such as Smriti Mandhana, Richa Ghosh, Renuka Thakur, Asha Shobhana, Sophie Divine and others. Under the leadership of Mandhana, RCB team won the WPL 2024 championship. He also helped the team win many matches with his excellent batting.

Currently, RCB has Rs 335 crore left for auction and has completed its overseas seats ahead of the auction. Now all the four players that RCB will buy in the auction will be Indians. A Women’s Super League team can have up to 18 players. RCB retained 14 players, including one who was traded.

Mumbai Indians did not make much changes in the squad and released only four players. Mumbai had won the trophy during Harmanpreet Kaur’s captaincy. Mumbai team has only Rs 265 crore left.
