Investigating agencies said these individuals were associated with the Maharashtra module of ISIS I. These people are actively working in the Padha-Borivali district of the state. From here, the men planned to launch an attack on the country. All the arrested terrorists were influenced by Mujahideen, Khalifa and ISI organizations and planned to spread violence in the country and wage war against the Indian government.
The village was declared an independent district
ANI reported that the arrested accused had declared Padha village of Thane and Al-Sham as separate areas, which means that only Sharia law applies here. They are influencing Muslim youth to come and live here so that their influence can stay here.

Initially, a special cell of Delhi Police was investigating the case. However, after capturing the three terrorists, the central government handed over the case to the National Intelligence Agency.
