This direction was given by the Supreme Court in the case of Saibaj Noor Mohammad Sheikh v. Government of Maharashtra. The Supreme Court gave this direction in its order on November 4. The order was passed by a bench of Justices BV Nagarathna and Pankaj Mittal on Monday while hearing the bail plea of ​​a man convicted of rape and assault under various sections of the IPC and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act (POCSO Act) . .

In this context, we direct the setting up of a sessions court to hear cases related to physical harm including sexual assault of minor children and women, the Supreme Court said. Compensation will be ordered to the victim taking into account the facts and circumstances of the case. When a verdict is given based on the evidence on record, the accused will be either convicted or not guilty.
Bar associations should take voluntary measures
In another case, lawyers were shocked by the Supreme Court. Court refuses to consider petition related to lawyer’s mental health.
