CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Education) has derecognized 21 schools in Delhi and Rajasthan. Complaints have been leveled against these schools’ virtual classes. CBSE took action on this and revoked their recognition. Not only that, 6 schools were also downgraded.

The six schools downgraded by CBSE have now been removed from the high school level and converted to the secondary level. All these schools have large numbers of students studying but not in class. CBSE has taken this stringent step for this purpose. CBSE has announced the list of these schools on its official website.

Regarding this action against the school, CBSE general secretary Himanshu Gupta said that the practice of virtual or absentee admission goes against the basic objectives of school education. This has a negative impact on students. To address this issue, we are taking decisive steps to stop virtual schools.

The committee scrutinized the school’s answers in detail.

He said this was a clear message to institutions affiliated with the Central Board of Secondary Education that they should resist the temptation of fake admissions or absentee admissions. Important comments on irregularities found during inspections were sent to the schools concerned. He said the committee reviewed the school’s response to the matter in detail.

Action taken against 16 schools in Delhi and 5 schools in Rajasthan

Himanshu Gupta said recognition of 21 schools has been decertified based on investigations, inspections and video evidence. Six schools have been downgraded from high schools to secondary schools. Of the 21 schools de-recognised, 16 are in Delhi and five in Kota and Thika in Rajasthan.
