Kapil Development: India lost the Test series to New Zealand 0-3. India’s bowlers and batsmen performed poorly. This is the first time in the history of Test cricket that the Indian team has lost three or more consecutive Test matches on home soil. Superstar batsmen like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli also failed to perform well throughout the series. Team India won the 1983 ODI World Cup under the leadership of Kapil Dev. Now Kapil has made a big statement about India’s defeat.
He brought love and respect to the country: Kapil Dev
Speaking to India TV, former India captain Kapil Dev said don’t speak badly of him as far as taking tough decisions after a humiliating defeat is concerned. They were wonderful and brought love, affection and respect to this country. Just give them time. If they have another series or two and they’re not good, then you can understand that and do something about it and it’ll be better for tomorrow. Kapil Dev further said, Without knowing the entire context, I cannot say that there is a need for a change in mindset.
Like all sports: Kapil Dev
Kapil Dev was the chief guest at the Night Golf Festival at Jaypee Greens Golf Course in Greater Noida. He said that he has enjoyed participating in various sports since he was a child. I grew up playing marbles, flying kites, and cricket. That’s why I love all sports. I played cricket for my country. But personally, I love playing golf.
Kapil Dev says that in golf, you have to rely on your own abilities. In cricket, you also depend on the fielders, wicketkeepers and other factors. There were other games where you could accuse me of throwing the ball well but they gave up two catches or I got thrown out. Not so with golf.
