Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has been summoned for questioning in the (Mysore Urban Development Authority) Muda land allotment case. He will appear before the Lokayukta in Mysore today. In view of the chief minister’s inquiry, strict security measures have been adopted at the Mysuru Lokayukta office. Mysuru City Commissioner Seema Ratkar held a meeting with police officials on Tuesday and put up hundreds of roadblocks.
In the Muda case, Mysore Lokayukta police have interrogated many people, including CM’s wife Parvati, Bamaida Mallikarjuna Swamy, land owner Devaraju. Meanwhile, CM Siddaramaiah himself said yesterday that he will attend the 10 am hearing. The Chief Minister will attend the Lokayukta meeting from 10 am to 12 noon today. However, there was criticism that the chief minister had personally set the deadline for the inquiry. A revised itinerary was subsequently released. It is learned that Siddaramaiah will leave for Mysore at 9.30 am and time after 9.30 has been reserved for the hearing.

BJP targets Siddaramaiah
The BJP leader took strong aim at the BJP’s questioning of the chief minister. BJP president BY Vijayendra questioned whether Siddaramaiah faces trial as chief minister or as an accused. Union Minister Prahlad Joshi criticized the Lokayutta probe, calling it a drama. CM said I did not do anything wrong in the land given by Bamada. I didn’t do anything wrong at Muda. Modi and Dev Gowda joined forces to sack me as chief minister.
Siddaramaiah secretly meets cabinet ministers in Hubli
Today, CM Siddaramaiah held a secret meeting with state ministers Bhairati Suresh and Ishwar Khandre at Hubli Airport on Tuesday evening in the backdrop of Lokayukta probe into Muda case. After the meeting, he returned to Bangalore. Bhairati Suresh said why the chief minister resigned on the demand of the BJP. He said Siddaramaiah was the chief minister and had 136 MLAs.
CBI to probe Muda case on November 26
The complainant, Snehamai Krishna, had moved the High Court arguing that the Lokayukta investigation would not serve the purpose of justice. The hearing was held on Tuesday before a bench headed by Justice Nagaprasanna. The next hearing was postponed to November 26. Meanwhile, the high court also directed the Lokayukta police to release details of the investigation by November 25.
