Priyanka Gandhi addresses public meeting in Wayanad
Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi arrives in Wayanad, Kerala. Priyanka Gandhi is contesting from the by-election to the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat. Congress candidate Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, while addressing a public meeting, said there is a need to promote food processing and tourism in the state. He said there are many beautiful tourist places in Wayanad.
If work is done in these places then tourism here can really increase. A lot has been done here, but more can still be done, he said. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said the people of Wayanad have given her a lot of love. He feels good coming here.
The BJP is making fun of the tragedy
Before the by-election, he targeted the BJP in public meetings. He said the BJP was making a mockery of the Wayanad tragedy. He said the central government failed to handle the tragedy in Wayanad. Priyanka Gandhi said hundreds of people lost their lives in this terrible tragedy. As a result of this tragedy, many people were forced to leave their homes and live elsewhere.
There are huge possibilities here
Priyanka Gandhi, while addressing a public meeting, said the land holds huge possibilities. He said that if there were good packaging facilities and marketing arrangements here, how much change would be made here. He said that if the strategy is properly prepared, there will be many benefits. Farmers are facing a sharp drop in crop prices. He was forced to take out a loan here. All of these can be improved with new ideas.
The by-election will be held on November 13
Wayanad will hold by-elections on November 13. In this case, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, who is campaigning here, is scheduled to contest the elections in Kerala till November 7. After Rahul Gandhi vacates Wayanad seat, Priyanka Gandhi will also be part of the electoral journey from this seat.
In the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, Rahul Gandhi won the Wayanad and Rai Bareilly seats. He decided to vacate the Wayanad seat. The seat has remained vacant after the departure of Wayanad seat and a by-election is currently underway.
