November 4, 2024: Known for his energetic performances and global fan base, Punjabi singer and actor Diljit Dosanjh received a warm welcome when he arrived in Jaipur for the much-anticipated concert as part of the Dil-Luminati Tour 2024. The concert, scheduled to be held on Sunday evening, has attracted attention not only because of Diljit’s musical talent but also because of his popularity with Princess Diyakumari, a luminary of the Jaipur royal family and deputy chief minister of Rajasthan. In a video shared on social media, Diljit documented his arrival in the Pink City. Wearing an elegant white suit with a black turban, he arrived elegantly in a horse-drawn carriage, a nod to Jaipur’s royal heritage. Walking beside him was Princess Dia Kumari, who gave him a glimpse of the grandeur of the Jaipur palace. Expressing his gratitude on Instagram, Diljit wrote: “Beautiful Pink City Jaipur, Rajasthan… It was a wonderful experience. Thank you, Princess Diyakumari.”

In an interesting message to fans, Diljit added, “Dal Bati Churma khaa ke aana, baut Bhangra hone wala hai aaj shaam ko” (Eat Dal Bati Churma before coming, there will be a lot of Bhangra tonight).

The video also shows a sumptuous dinner with members of the Jaipur royal family, highlighting the warm welcome. Princess Diakumari, the granddaughter of Jaipur’s last Maharaja Mansingh II, also shared a welcome video on her social media, further enhancing people’s expectations for Diljit’s concert.

Dosanjh also took time to visit Jaipur’s iconic sights, including Nahargarh Fort, where he was seen sitting quietly at sunrise with his hands folded and eyes closed in meditation. Another video shows him feeding pigeons at the historic Amer Fort.

Diljit’s Dil-Luminati tour has captivated audiences across India with a sold-out show in Delhi, with more shows planned in Jaipur, Chandigarh, Pune and many more cities. The tour follows his successful European tour earlier this year, which saw him perform in major cities including Paris, London, Dublin and Amsterdam. In April, he made history when he became the first Punjabi artist to headline Vancouver’s BC Place Arena and the first Indian artist to appear on the cover of Canada’s Billboard.
