CM Hemant Soren during Garhwa district election rally

Campaigning for the Jharkhand assembly elections is underway. All parties are busy making accusations and counter-accusations against each other. Meanwhile, state chief minister and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) working president Hemant Soren has targeted the BJP. He accused the BJP of making arrangements with Bangladesh. He also asked on what basis was former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina granted asylum in the country?

Hemant Soren, party candidate from Bakht in Jharkhand and JMM working president, said the BJP talks about Hindus, Muslims and Bangladeshi infiltrators. “I want to ask him, when the prime minister takes the oath, he puts the constitution on his forehead and says the country will be governed according to the constitution,” he said. “It will be done according to the rights given by the constitution… I want to know what your relationship with Bangladesh is.” Is there any agreement?

“Bangladeshi infiltrators come from BJP-ruled states”

Addressing an election rally in Gharwa district, Hemant Soren lashed out at the BJP and the central government for providing asylum to the former Bangladesh prime minister. He said, how was the helicopter of the former Prime Minister of Bangladesh allowed to land in the country today? On what basis did the former Prime Minister of Bangladesh obtain asylum in the country? He said the infiltrators from Bengal were coming from the BJP-ruled state.

He said himself that there were Bangladeshis infiltrating from his state and blaming Jharkhand? Hemant Soren says whose responsibility is it to protect Bangladesh’s borders? The responsibility for border security rests with the Government of India and the Ministry of Home Affairs, in which state governments have no role. He said Jharkhand does not border Bangladesh anywhere.

People from the BJP are all liars – Hemant Soren

Hemant Soren said that it is said that after generating electricity in Jharkhand, it is also supplied to Bangladesh. Jharkhand’s power goes to Bangladesh, but smoke comes out of Jharkhand. Thereafter they also blamed Jharkhand. Hemant Soren also targeted the BJP by sharing video clips of his predecessor’s rallies. “People in the People’s Party are liars,” he wrote.
