The electoral atmosphere is now fully formed in Maharashtra. The nomination date has ended. Currently, the names of around 56 candidates have appeared in the defector lists of MVA and Mahayuti. The list includes 40 Mahayuti leaders and 16 MVA leaders who opposed the candidates announced by their alliance and submitted nominations. The last date to withdraw a nomination is November 4. Party leaders will try to convince the rebels.
Shinde Sena members rebel against BJP candidate
The Shinde faction’s Shiv Sena’s Vijay Choughule defied the BJP’s Ganesh Naik in Airoli. Ganesh Naik’s son Sandeep Naik decided to leave the BJP and join the NCP-Sharad Pawar faction as he did not get the Beh Belapur election ticket.
In Belapur, the BJP’s Mandal Mhatta is facing a rebellion by Sindhist Vijay Natha. In eastern Kalyan, the BJP’s Sulabha Gaikwad is facing a rebellion by Mahesh Gaikwad, the Kalyan city president of the Sindh faction. Sulabha Gaikwad’s husband Ganpat Gaikwad, the sitting MP from Kalyan East, shot Mahesh Gaikwad inside Ulhasnagar police station in February this year. In Vikramgarh, Shinde Group’s Prakash Nikam defied the BJP’s Harishchandra Bhoi.
