Pakistan will never succeed…Farooq Abdullah’s statement on ongoing terror attacks in J&K

In response to these attacks, National Conference leader and former chief minister Farooq Abdullah strongly targeted Pakistan. Abdullah said Pakistan’s plans in Jammu and Kashmir could never succeed. He said: “Those who want the region to merge with Pakistan will never succeed. India’s strength lies in its diversity and unity. We must strengthen brotherhood, eliminate hatred, and fill the country with an atmosphere of peace, progress, and development.”

Speaking to reporters, Farooq said that people are expecting major changes from the new government and hope that Jammu and Kashmir will reach new heights of development in the coming years. Targeting separatists, he said those who want to join Pakistan, they will never succeed and Jammu and Kashmir is the crown of India and will always remain so. Pakistan will never succeed here.

Religious hatred is a threat to our unity

Describing the growing religious hatred in the country as a threat to unity, Abdullah said it was important to end such hatred and that we must maintain the diversity of our country and that no matter what our language, religion or culture, we are all It’s Indian. Abdullah appealed to the people and said that we should remain united otherwise India’s very existence will be in danger. Talking about Raghunath Market, Abdullah said that the market is losing its original charm after the Lieutenant Governor stopped the tradition of Darbar Operation in 2022. As per this tradition started by the Maharaja, the government used to work in Srinagar for six months and in Jammu for six months.

“The Raghunath Chowk should be restored to its former glory,” Abdullah said. He further said that this tradition was started to strengthen brotherhood and bring the two regions closer and we must revive it.

Abdullah said the national conference is committed to the progress of Jammu and Kashmir and we want to improve the condition of roads and ensure power supply to smart cities. Everyone has expectations from this government and I also hope that Jammu and Kashmir should progress, unemployment should end, youth should be employed and this region should progress. On the demand for restoration of statehood, he said: “Once statehood is restored to Jammu and Kashmir, local officials will be appointed to higher posts.

He further said that for the last 75 years, the local authorities have governed the state and made it the most progressive state in the country but in the last five years we have declined and we have to take it up again to the new level height.
