Delhi People’s Party chief Virendra Sachdeva.
Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva has been admitted to hospital. Sachdeva was admitted to RML Hospital after complaining of itching and difficulty breathing. Two days ago, Sachdeva took a dip in the river to highlight the alleged failure to clean up the Yamuna river.
Sachdeva arrived at Chhath Ghat on the banks of the Yamuna river on Thursday, PTI reported. There, he also took a dip in the Yamuna river and accused the Delhi government of failing to fulfill its promise to clean the river by 2025. After swimming in the Yamuna river, I developed a rash on my body and had difficulty breathing.
Admitted to hospital with itching and dyspnea
Initially the doctor examined him and gave him medication for three days. Now, he had to be admitted to RML Hospital after complaining of itching and difficulty breathing. The Delhi BJP issued a statement saying that Sachdeva had never faced such problems before.
Environment minister says there will be no drama to clean up
On the other hand, senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and environment minister in the Delhi government Gopal Rai wished Sachdeva a speedy recovery. He said the BJP leaders should understand by now that their show cannot clean the river.
Before taking a dip in the Yamuna, Sachdeva apologized to the river and promised that his party would form an independent body to revive the Yamuna if the BJP wins next year’s assembly elections in Delhi .
After Diwali comes Chhath festival
Cleanliness of the Yamuna has been a big issue in Delhi from the beginning. Opposition parties have blamed the ruling party for this. After Diwali, comes the festival of Chhath, so the issue becomes heated again. The BJP has been claiming that no concrete steps have been taken to clean up the river.
