A heart-wrenching case occurred in rural Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. A couple took a video of themselves on the tracks before being hit by a train. In the video, they gave their reasons for committing suicide. The video went viral on social media.
Som Shukla and Shweta Shukla, a couple residing in Pindarthu village in Sikandra police station area, committed suicide by jumping in front of a train, creating a sensation. First, the two made a video accusing the Dubey family (Kapil, Mohit, Rohit, Pravesh, Ansh, Chhotu, Pradeep, Mayank, Sheelu) of the village of committing suicide. According to both of them, members of the Dube family harassed them on a daily basis.
In the video, Som said the men used to harass him at work and when he came home. Shweta Shukla also said that she too was constantly harassed. In the viral video, the couple also stated that the suicide was not the fault of their parents and brother, and that the Dube family should bear full responsibility for the suicide.
After learning the news of the death of their son and daughter-in-law, the family was shocked, heartbroken and crying. Som’s father said the Dubey family was very overbearing and harassed his son every day. Regarding the entire incident, police said that in the video, the couple talked about harassing their neighbours, the Dube family.
Police said that based on information from Pukhrayan GRP, two bodies were found on the railway tracks, namely a young man and a girl, identified as Som and Shweta. Dubey’s family, who harassed Som Shukla during police investigation, have registered a case against Som Shukla at Sikandra police station and further legal action will be taken based on the complaints received by the family after the incident.
