Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang and Reliance Industries Chairman Mukesh Ambani shared the stage at the Nvidia Artificial Intelligence Summit in Mumbai to announce a partnership to build artificial intelligence (AI) infrastructure in India and drive adoption of the technology in the country . But before they could discuss practical matters, Ambani needed to fulfill a directive from his wife, Nita Ambani.

Welcoming Huang to Mumbai, Ambani said: “Jason first welcomes you to our city of Mumbai. A city with a big heart. We are in the Jio World Center, which is new and was built by my wife.” He went on to quip: “If I don’t say my wife built it… I was instructed to say so.”
Feeling a little more relaxed, Huang joked again: “Am I at her house? Her house is bigger than yours. I thought your house was big.” Then, he joked: “From Mukesh’s house , I can see my house in California,” prompting laughter from the audience.
Nvidia in India
Jen-Hsun Huang, who is visiting India for the first time, announced at the Artificial Intelligence Summit on October 24 that Nvidia will provide artificial intelligence processors for RIL’s 1 GW data center under construction in Gujarat. He added that the AI cip maker will also join hands with Indian technology giants Infosys, TCS, Tech Mahindra and Wipro to “deepen partnerships in the growing Indian market” as per the PTI report.
Nvidia will provide Blackwell AI processors for Reliance data centers, while Hopper AI chips will be supplied to large data centers of companies such as Yotta Data Services and Tata Communications.
Additionally, Infosys, TCS and Wipro will help clients deploy AI through customized solutions using the US giant’s enterprise software platform. Tech Mahindra will use its new Hindi AI model to develop a customized AI model called Indus 2.0.
