About two dozen MPs from his Liberal Party have given him an ultimatum to step down and withdraw from the leadership by Oct. 28. But at the same time, Trudeau said on Thursday he would also lead the Liberals in the next election. According to reports, many lawmakers called his decision disappointing.

He had said, “Khalistani elements are taking full advantage of this situation… They think this is their complete victory and are attacking India.”
