Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann
Now, Punjab has abolished the conditions for registration of NOC plots. This will bring great relief to the people. The Governor has approved the Punjab Apartments and Property Regulation (Amendment) Bill, 2024. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann expressed his gratitude to Governor Gulab Chand Kataria for this. He said that Parliament had passed the bill on September 3. Today, the governor approved the bill. The purpose of the amendment is to provide relief to small plot owners, the CM said. In addition, strict control over illegal colonies must be ensured.
The Chief Minister said this is a big relief to the common people as the aim is to solve the problems faced by the common people with regard to land registration and stop the construction of unauthorized colonies. It also provides for penalties and fines for criminals. This is a historic decision. Its goal is to ensure the welfare of the common man.
Registration does not require NOC
He said that as per the amendment, any person who has a power of attorney, stamp paper sale agreement or any other such document for land in an illegal colony measuring not more than 500 sq yards before July 31, 2024, will have to apply for a land not required Register.
New law will provide relief to these people
The chief minister said some colonists used to make money illegally. People are suffering the consequences of their misdeeds. Illegal colonies increased during the poor governance of the previous government. The reason for this was the early protection given to illegal colonists.
He said the new law would now provide great relief to those who mistakenly invested their hard-earned money in illegal colonies. Bhagwant Singh Mann said these innocent people invested money in building houses but got into trouble due to illegal colonies.
