An incident involving the release of a rape accused for assaulting a police officer took place in Gopalganj village in Kampilganj police station area of ​​Gorakhpur. The incident took place in the evening when the police team had gone to arrest the accused. Villagers gathered and started throwing stones at the police. Trainee sub-inspector Sachin Singh and constable Ajit Kumar were seriously injured in the stone-pelting and suffered head injuries.
The policemen were immediately rushed to a nursing home in Kampilganj, where senior police officer Gaurav Grover met the injured policemen and inquired about their health. At present, all injured police officers are out of danger. After the attack, police cordoned off the area and arrested the defendant’s mother and two sisters. He is accused of assaulting a police officer.

It is learned that Rahul Nishad, a resident of a village in Campierganj police station area, has been accused of raping a minor girl. Based on a complaint lodged by the victim’s father, police have registered a case under rape and POCSO Act. The victim’s statement was also heard in court. After the incident, the accused Rahul absconded. The police are looking for him. Police received information on Wednesday night that the accused was at home.
Police arrested defendant’s mother and sister
