TVS Raider iGO variants launched: TVS Motor Company has officially launched the new iGO variant of its famous bike TVS Raider for sale during the festive season. The company launched the bike to celebrate sales of one million units. Equipped with attractive looks and a powerful engine, the price of the bike has been confirmed at Rs 98,389 (ex-showroom).
Competition with Pulsar N125:
TVS Raider is a very famous bike in the 125 cc segment. Its competitive models in the market include Honda Shine, SP and Bajaj Pulsar N 125. Recently Bajaj Auto also launched the new Pulsar N125. The starting price has been confirmed at Rs 94,707 (ex-showroom). This means that this new variant of TVS Raider is priced around Rs 3,600 more compared to Pulsar.

How about the new TVS Raider iGO:
Included in the new version is “Boost Mode”, which is equipped with iGO Assist technology. The company claims that the new bike is the fastest 125 cc motorcycle in its category. This variant is also available in Nardo Gray color option. Comes with red alloy wheels. It also features an upgraded reverse LCD connected instrument cluster with over 85 connected functions. This enhances the sporty feel and premium appeal of the motorcycle.
More torque and mileage:
The company says the TVS Raider engine with iGO Assist produces a class-leading torque of 11.75 Nm at 6000 rpm. iGO Assist enables the rider to accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 5.8 seconds with the help of segment-first Boost mode. In addition to this, it also increases the mileage of the bike by about 10%.
Like before, the TVS Raider comes with a 124.8 cc air-cooled 3V engine. Its generating power is 8.37kW. The engine is paired to a 5-speed gearbox. It features gas-filled 5-step adjustable mono-shock suspension, low-friction front suspension, split seats and 17-inch alloy wheels.
Speaking about the new product, Anirudh Haldar, Senior Vice President, Head of Commuting Business and Head of Corporate Brands and Media, TVS Motor Company said, “The TVS Raider has become even more exciting with the addition of Boost mode for the first time in 2019. This segment generates 0.55 Nm of extra torque and increases mileage by 10%. In addition to this, the red alloys enhance the sporty look of the bike.
