The Bharatiya Janata Party has announced a list of seven candidates for the by-elections to nine seats in Uttar Pradesh. While announcing its candidates for the by-elections, the party also paid special attention to caste issues. The BJP is betting on one Brahmin, one Kshatriya, one Dalit and four backwards.
In Mirzapur Majiva Assembly by-election, BJP declares former MP Suchismita Maurya, who was a BJP MP even before Majiva Assembly MP. In the 2022 assembly elections, his vote was canceled due to his participation in the Nishad Party quota in the Majiva Congress.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has named Thakur Ramveer Singh as its candidate in the by-election to be held from Kundalki assembly seat in Moradabad. He has been the BJP candidate for Kundalki Assembly twice. Kundarki Assembly has a 60% Muslim population.

The Bharatiya Janata Party has named Deepak Patel as its candidate for the Prayagraj Phulpur assembly seat. Deepak Patel’s mother Keshari Devi Patel served as the BJP MP from Phulpur from 2019 to 2023. Deepak Patel is a BSP member of the 16th Uttar Pradesh Assembly. In 2012, he won the election from Kachana constituency in Uttar Pradesh.
In Kajhar, the BJP has given the ticket to Anudesh Yadav, uncle of Taj Pratap Yadav. Sandhya Yadav and her husband Anudesh Yadav are no longer members of the Samajwadi Party and have joined the Bharatiya Janata Party. Sandhya Yadav is the niece of Mulayam Singh and the sister of Dharmendra Yadav. This is not the first case in which the BJP has tried to break into Mulayam’s family.
In the by-elections held in Ghaziabad seat, the BJP fielded Sanjeev Sharma, the BJP metropolitan president. A strong report was made on behalf of the organization. Apart from this, he is also close to sitting MP Atul Garg. Sanjeev comes from the Punjabi community. He is an old BJP man.

The BJP has fielded Surendra Diler, son of former MP Rajveer Diler, in the Aligarh Khel Assembly by-election. Surendra Diler has started preparations for the by-elections here and Rajveer Diler has a good influence in the area. In the 2019 elections, he won the Hathras seat with a huge margin. However, his vote was canceled in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.
The Bharatiya Janata Party has named Dharamraj Nishad as its candidate from Ambedkar Nagar Katehari seat. Dharamraj Nishad had been MLA of Katehri three times before. He was first elected as a BSP MP from Katehari in 1996. In 2007, when he became MP for the third time, Mayawati made him a minister. He served as minister from 2007 to 2012.
