How strong is Uddhav’s ‘Special-65’?
After a long wait in Maharashtra, Uddhav Thackeray has announced the list of 65 candidates for the Shiv Sena. Most of the candidates on Uddhav’s list are from Konkan, Thane, Mumbai and Marathwada. By announcing the list of candidates, Uddhav has killed two birds with one stone. For instance, Uddhav took pressure off Raj Thackeray by fielding a candidate from the Mahim seat.
At the same time, Uddhav is trying to form a strong front against all leaders of the 2022 revolt against the Shiv Sena. Kedar Dighe, nephew of late Shiv Sainik Anant Dighe, has been deployed against Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.
