The entrance fee of one hundred thousand rupees, the girl serving the wine, the rich man spreading jam while gambling… A grand game is going on in the hotel in Meerut.

Police raided a three-star hotel in Meerut and arrested eight people, including the owner. An FIR has been registered against a total of 15 persons. According to police, under the cover of hotels, wealthy people were allowed to gamble through casinos, which also arranged drinking parties. The raid was carried out based on intelligence and officers from the local police station did not leave during this period. I wonder what other information this incident revealed?

It is understood that in order not to let anyone know, people who place bets at the casino usually arrive at the hotel from home empty-handed. They just pay the admission fee and sit at a table. Afterwards, they went to the counter to get chips and coins and started gambling. The amount of coins and chips taken from the counter was credited to his account. After a victory or defeat, people deposit coins and payments are made based on them the next day.

Overall no cash was used. Coins and chips are used as cash codes. As a result, significant amounts of money were not recovered during the raids.

If sources are to be believed, the casino inside the hotel was decorated with a large table where the girls used to pour drinks. In the past, rich people would knock over their goblets while betting here. This table requires an entry fee of one lakh rupees to enter.

The raid was carried out without notifying local police

When senior police officials from Meerut police got specific information about the hotel operating a casino, they formed teams to conduct raids. However, the three police stations in Minquan District are not among them. The Nauchandi police station also received a last minute call. However, officials denied this and said police from all police stations in the area were called. But Civilian Lines was not there at the time of the attack.

Hotel owner once held the post of municipal treasurer of the BJP

In fact, this “Harmony Inn Hotel” belongs to Naveen Arora. Naveen Arora had earlier served as city treasurer of the BJP. In addition to Navin, there are many others who hold shares in the hotel. The casino is said to be operating illegally here. On Monday night, in addition to the urban area, many prominent families from surrounding areas came to the hotel and casino to play.

After the police came to know about the incident, a team of three police officers from different circles in Meerut conducted a raid. Police from the local Nauchandi police station did not intervene. During the raid, eight people, including hotel owner Naveen Arora, were arrested on the spot. There are girls in the hotel too. Gambling supplies and other items were seized at the scene.

Meerut police statement

Meerut Municipal Councilor Ayush Vikram said that a total of 15 people have been booked in this case. Eight people have been arrested. It is currently under investigation where these people brought the alcohol from, how the casino was run, who came here, how they entered, and how much money they were defrauded of. It was reported that there were women in the hotel, so a female CO was also taken away. The casino is not open every day, only occasionally.

The hotel has also caused controversy before

It is understood that the Harmony Inn Hotel also sparked controversy earlier when the original owner, who lived in Madhya Pradesh, accused Naveen Arora of taking over the hotel through fraudulent means. Now following the raid, all the hotel’s permissions are also being checked.

Meanwhile, as Naveen Arora was arrested by the police and taken out of the court from the police station, his supporters raised slogans and tried to create a ruckus. In addition to hotel owner Naveen Arora, those arrested include Devendra Sethi, Sanjay Arora, Rajeev Gulati ), Rajkumar, Gaurav Kansal, Mohit Tandon and Rakesh. They all appeared in court on Tuesday and were released on bail.
