A case of missing jewelery worth lakhs of rupees was discovered from a branch of Bank of Baroda in Raj Chopla area of Modi Nagar police station area in Ghaziabad. An aggrieved customer Isha Goyal claimed that 40 pieces of Torah gold ornaments and 50-60 pieces of Torah silver ornaments, with a total value of around Rs 40 lakh, were missing from her locker. After this incident was exposed, it caused an uproar in the local area.
Isha Goyal said she received a call from her bank saying her locker was open. When she arrived at the bank, she found that the locker was open and the gold and silver jewelry inside was missing. After receiving the news, the police immediately rushed to the scene to investigate. The incident has shaken customer confidence in safe places like banks. The bank and the police are currently investigating the matter in depth.
Jewelry worth Rs 40 lakh missing from bank locker
Isha Goyal said her locker had the names of three people on it and she came to know that her jewelery was missing after getting information from the bank. Bank employees refrained from saying anything on the issue. Such a large theft from a secure location such as a bank locker caused an uproar in the area and increased concern among the bank’s other customers.
The police filed a case and started investigation
Apart from this, the victim Isha Goyal said that she used to store her jewelery in bank locker number B-42 about 20 years ago. The locker is named after her, her husband Ankush and father-in-law Jaikishan. She used to check the lockers. On August 28, my father-in-law came and checked the locker, which contained jewelry. Police said they have registered a case and started investigation.
