The Saharanpur Sadar Bazar police station revealed the temple theft and arrested the person who stole the silver snake idol. The police also recovered a pistol and a 2.5kg silver snake idol stolen from the temple from his collection. According to sources, Sultan Ahmed, also known as Ali, is the son of Jamil Ahmed and a resident of Raipur police station in Dehradun district of Uttarakhand. He has also committed theft in many temples in the past. Many cases have been registered against him in Uttarakhand as well.

Fleeed to Uttarakhand after stealing

Sultan Ahmed alias Ali told the interrogation that he needed money to treat my mother’s eyes. That’s why I stole the snake god from the temple near Saharanpur railway station. After that I drove to Haridwar. I returned to Saharanpur on Monday. I was looking for a scrap dealer to sell a zombie when I was arrested by the police.

SP City Abhimanyu Manglik revealed that there is a temple near the railway station in the outpost camp under the Sadar Bazar police station. On October 14, a video of a temple theft went viral online. Among them a thief was seen stealing away the snake god.

The local police have taken action on this matter and opened a case. CCTV also conducted a follow-up investigation. In the video, it can be seen that the thief very cleverly placed the snake god in the bag and boarded the train to Haridwar. The thief was arrested when he reached Saharanpur on Monday. Police also recovered an illegal pistol and some burglary tools from the thieves.

The accused, named Sultan Ahmed, is a resident of Uttarakhand. During interrogation, he told his mother was receiving eye treatment. Under this compulsion, he committed theft. 2.5 kg of silver was used in the stolen Nag Devta.
