October 21, 2024: Choreographer Remo D’Souza and his wife Lizelle D’Souza have broken their silence after being accused of defrauding their dance company of Rs 11.96 crore. Reports emerged that a case had been filed against the couple, who issued a joint statement on Instagram expressing their disappointment at the charges.

In their statement, Remo and Liezel urged people not to spread rumors without knowing the full story. They acknowledged the reports and clarified that they would file a case in due course while cooperating with authorities. The couple stressed the importance of not jumping to conclusions and assured fans they would resolve the matter as soon as possible.
Their statement reads: “We have noticed through media reports that someone has complained about fraud by a dance group. The release of such information is frustrating. I hope everyone will stop spreading rumors until the truth is found out.”
A case was registered at Mumbai’s Mira Road police station on October 16 after a 26-year-old dancer lodged a complaint against Remo D’Souza, his wife Lizelle and five others. According to a police officer, the case has been registered under sections 465 (forgery), 420 (cheating) and other relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code.
The FIR alleged that the complainant and his dance group were cheated between 2018 and July 2024.
Remo is widely known for his work as a judge on dance reality shows such as indian dance and dance plusalso directed the hit ABCD film series including street dancer The movie stars Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor.
