Following Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, current Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Stalin also appealed to the people to have more children. CM Stalin said that the time has come for newlyweds to have 16 children.
The Chief Minister made this statement at an event organized by the Hindu Religious and Endowments Council in Chennai. Here, 31 couples got married in the presence of Chief Minister MK Stalin. He said maybe it’s time for couples to have 16 children instead of 16 properties.
Praising Human Resources and Social Justice Minister Shekhar Babu, CM MK Stalin claimed that true believers appreciate the DMK government’s efforts in streamlining the maintenance and resources of temples. He said those who use devotion as a mask are upset and are filing cases to stop the success of the DMK government.
Parliamentary seats were also mentioned
CM MK Stalin said: “That is why Kalaignal long ago wrote a dialogue in the film Parasakthi in which he said that we are not against temples but against temples becoming camps for terrible people.” He said our population is decreasing and this will also affect our Lok Sabha seats so why don’t we have 16 children each?

Had 16 children – Stalin
He claimed that early elders often blessed newlyweds with 16 types of property. Maybe it’s time to have 16 kids instead of 16 possessions. He said: “When the elders used to say that you should have 16 children and live a prosperous life, it did not mean 16 children, but 16 properties. Writer Vishwanathan said in his book Cow, House, Wife , Children” mentioned that it has been done in the form of education, curiosity, knowledge, precepts, land, water, age, vehicles, gold, property, crops and praise, but now no one has blessed you with 16 kinds of wealth, and Just give the blessings of possession, children, and live a prosperous life.
CM Chandrababu Naidu also made a similar statement on the population issue.
Earlier on Sunday, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu expressed concern over the aging population. Citing growing concerns about this, he urged families in southern states to have more children. Naidu stressed the need to promote the youth population in the region to sustain the country’s demographic dividend. “The government plans to bring in a law making only those with more than two children eligible to contest local body elections,” Naidu announced.
