Later, the Rail Bazaar police station inspector and woman police officer set out to bring the woman back from Mumbai. The woman was also found in Mumbai. Thereafter, a police team drove him to Kanpur. The inspector sat next to the woman several times while taking her seat on the way. During this period, he touched her bed many times. During this time, the woman was detained by police. She was under police guard so out of fear and shame she said nothing but complained about this to the female officer.

The woman also admitted that the inspector subjected her to some indecent touching on the bed. Immediately thereafter, the DCP called Inspector Gajendra Chahar.
