India and Pakistan became independent together. The two countries have a lot in common but also have some differences from India. Everyone wants to know how the people of Pakistan are living and what they think of India. Meet Pankaj…
The name of the person we are talking about is Pankaj. Pankaj often stayed away from India due to work commitments. Sometimes it’s Bangladesh, sometimes it’s Dubai, sometimes it’s Zimbabwe. Pankaj has traveled to many countries for work. He works as a graphics operator in a private company. His job is as a graphics operator in the broadcasts of various matches including cricket, where he is responsible for operating the graphics visible on the screen.
How is your job?
Pankaj says, I am a graphics operator. You must have seen it whenever a game comes, sometimes you see the scoreboard on the screen and sometimes you see the old statistics of a certain player. In addition to this, you will sometimes see replays of footage. We are the ones who do all this work. We graphically provide you with game highlights, scorecards, records, points tables and more. We work in the PCR room, taking information from different sources and then deciding what to display on the screen. Beyond that, if there are any graphics needs, they’ll be ready.
What jobs are available in Pakistan?
Pankaj said: “If we talk about Pakistan, in Pakistan we also live in a broadcasting team of a league. We do graphics-related work during the matches of that league. We have a broadcasting team there Where we do broadcasting of games, the job is the same in every country. Our team works in a league in Pakistan and for that we sometimes have to go to Pakistan.
How are the people there?
Pankaj said, “Well, I don’t have to go out anywhere as I am very busy at work. Apart from that, we are rarely allowed to step out of the hotel or venue due to special security. But, when I get a chance to step out , I still visited many cities in Pakistan. There I saw a lot similar to India. The people there are also very nice and they have very little hatred towards India when they know that we are Indians and ask about this place. The food there is also similar to India but there are less dishes with gravy and more like dry chicken etc.
Lahore Airport Story…
Sharing his experience, Pankaj said: “Once my friend and I were waiting for a flight to India at the Lahore airport. There was a match between India and Pakistan that day. In that World Cup match, Virat ·Kohli single-handedly helped the Indian team win the game. I saw a game was being held at the airport and people were watching the game on the screen.
Our Indian friends are very worried and nervous, but the people of Pakistan are celebrating. They celebrated the poor form of the Indian team with great enthusiasm and we didn’t feel too good. Some people are also insulting India during this time, but there is nothing we can do about it. During this period, some people said, look how our bowlers ruined India’s condition…and so on.
There was nothing we could do at the time, it was the first time we saw India lose and we saw people celebrating. Earlier in India we saw people being disappointed with our failure but here everything is the opposite which is strange. But one thing that was special was that despite supporting Pakistan, a guy was wearing Kohli’s jersey and it was a good experience to see that too.
