'I make big movies so my parents can watch them in heaven': Shah Rukh Khan

October 17, 2024: In August 2024, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan appeared at the 77th Locarno Film Festival. While there, he sat down and watched an episode of the Festival Podcast Locarno encounterhe shared insights into his career, family and vision for future projects.

Known for his humble and honest nature, Shah Rukh Khan has always been open about his deep connection with his family. During the interview, the actor revealed that his parents are the reason behind his drive to create and star in big movies. He shared that his motivation for making big-budget films stemmed from wanting his parents to witness his work, even if it was from heaven.

“I don’t know, for some reason I always felt like I was going to make some really big movie so my mom and dad could see it from heaven, and I still thought my mom was a star and it It works,” said SRK. “I even knew she was a star.”

Shah Rukh also discussed his critically acclaimed 2002 film while speaking at the festival Devdasa role that brought him international recognition.
