Smuggling of arms and drugs from Pakistan has not stopped in Punjab. The BSF recovered one kilogram of RDX (Improvised Explosive Device) from Fazilka in the state on Thursday. In fact, during border patrol, BSF soldiers saw drone activity and later when soldiers searched the area, they discovered the RDX in a box.

The BSF has handed over RDX to the Punjab Police, which is currently investigating the matter. Such incidents often occur across the border, with drugs and weapons being transported from Pakistan to Punjab. In view of this, BSF always remains vigilant at the borders.

Providing information on the incident, the BSF said batteries and timers were also installed along with the RDX in the recovered cargo. The motive behind this is being investigated. But security agencies face growing challenges due to the use of such technology across borders.

The investigation has been handed over to the National Task Force

According to reports, drone activity occurred near Bahadur in the Abohar area of Fazilkha Province on the India-Pakistan border. When the BSF came to know about the incident, they searched the area and found an IED bomb.

The bomb was found in a tin box containing approximately one kilogram of RDX. It also comes with a battery and timer. After its recovery, the BSF handed it over to Fazilka State Special Cell police station, which is investigating the matter further.

A similar incident occurred in Fazilka in early 2021. At the time, Tiffin bombs were supplied from here for use in bombings across the state. Among them, the incidents took place in Jalalabad and Firozpur, in which the accused also died.
