A strange act of natural destruction occurred in Kagan, Madhya Pradesh. A man’s two wives were struck by lightning and both died. Both women were standing in the courtyard of the house. The village is currently in mourning following the deaths of two women in the same house.
The incident took place in Jhirnya area, about 70 kilometers from the district headquarters. Reshla (40), wife Jika Bai (35) and second wife Sukhma Bai (36) stood in the drizzle in the courtyard of their house in Runda Gram Panchayat adjacent to the Maharashtra border. Suddenly lightning fell and both of Reshla’s wives were struck by lightning. Both men died in their yards.
Sukhma Bai has two sons and two girls, while Jika Bai has no children. There was an outpouring of mourning inside the house as two women died suddenly outside the house.
Regarding the incident, Herrapadava police station in-charge Santosh Chaudhary said both Reshla’s wives were standing in the courtyard outside the house during the rain.
At the same time, he died on the spot due to a sudden lightning strike. The police have registered the death. After post-mortem examination, the bodies of both women have been handed over to their families.
