Chhatarpur Deputy Superintendent of Police Vikram Singh said the incident took place due to a feud. In this case, in addition to the relevant provisions of the Indian Judicial Code, provisions of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act were added. Efforts are on to arrest the accused. It is understood that the incident occurred after a riot broke out due to the DJ playing obscene songs during the idol immersion period.

Police have registered a case against the duo after a video of the incident went viral. The incident took place in Harpalpur town of Chhatarpur city. After receiving a complaint about the incident, the police arrested the police under Section 296 (Obscene Conduct), Section 115(2) (Causing Harm), Section 351(2) (Criminal Intimidation), Section 3(5) (Several Persons) (criminal intimidation) opened a case against the defendant. A case was registered under Section 127(2) of the Indian Penal Code (wrongful confinement) and the Juvenile Justice Act.

It is understood that the brutality against the minor boys was due to alleged pickpockets and thieves. The three minors were tied up and paraded in Pranigara Mandi area of ​​Harpalpur town in Chhatarpur district. Pushpak Sharma, in-charge of Harpalpur police station, said the video of abuse of a minor went viral on social media. The police have since started investigating the incident. Thereafter, a case of theft was registered against the three minors on the complaint of Dharmendra Rajput.
