October 15, 2024: Despite the great success 2nd StreetAs India’s first Hindi film to cross the Rs 600-crore mark at the box office, actor Rajkummar Rao has opened up about his financial status. In a candid interview on YouTube channel Unfiltered by SamdishRajkumar talks about misconceptions about his wealth.
this National AwardThe award-winning actor revealed that while people may think he has a net worth of Rs 100 crore, the reality is much different. “I’m still paying a big EMI on my house,” shares Rajkummar, adding that his financial position is stronger than many imagine.

Talking about luxury purchases, he dismissed the idea of easily splurging on big-ticket items like cars worth Rs 6 crore. He explained that while he could buy a car worth Rs 50 lakh after careful consideration and could easily afford a car worth Rs 20 lakh, he could not just walk into a showroom and buy a luxury car without thinking.

Rajkummar also shared insights on how sudden wealth can negatively impact an actor’s mindset. According to him, getting big money too quickly can change how actors view their work and the world.
Rajkummar Rao’s career is still on an upward trajectory. Following the success 2nd Streethis comedy Vicky Vidya Ka Woh Wala Video Along with Triptii Dimri, Vijay Raaz and Mallika Sherawat the box office collection was close to Rs. 200 million so far.
2nd Street Global revenue was 855.86 billion rupees, of which 711.86 billion rupees came from the Indian market and 1.44 billion rupees from overseas. The movie is released on August 15, 2024 and will be available to stream on Amazon Prime Video India from October 10.
