Following the violence in Baraich, Uttar Pradesh, a heavy police force has been deployed in the area. Two SP and two SSP rank officers have been deployed to the spot. Currently, 10 PAC companies and 2 CAPF (Central Armed Police Force) companies are deployed in the district.

Not only that, five teams of UP STF have also been deployed in Baraich. Two COs and three other SPs from the STF have also arrived at the scene. The STF’s anti-riot vehicle was called to the scene. To control the situation, Assistant Director General Law and Order and STF chief Amitabh Yash personally took to the streets. ADG Gorakhpur district is already there.

Apart from this, police personnel from several police stations have been deployed in Balaich Maharishi area. There are rumors that troops will also be deployed from other nearby areas. The entire area has been converted into military camps. After the continued riots last night, the situation has been brought under control since this afternoon. However, during this period many houses, shops and vehicles were set on fire.

In view of the violence triggered by riots during Durga idol immersion, internet services have been stopped in the area. The head of the Hardi police station and the head of the Masi outpost have been suspended. On the instructions of CM Yogi Adityanath, Home Secretary Sanjeev Gupta and Assistant Director General of Law and Order have reached the spot. So far, 30 criminals have been detained. On the other hand, the family of the young man who died in the violence agreed to perform his last rites after being persuaded by the local BJP Ministry of Justice and the police department. In this violent case, the police have registered a case against 10 people including Abdul Hameed, Sarfaraz, Faheem, Sahir Khan, Nankau and Maarf Ali. Meanwhile, a case was also registered against four unidentified persons.
