Baba Siddiqui was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai where he breathed his last. The incident caused a stir in the city and in political circles. Baba Siddiqui was reportedly shot at in Bandra East under Nirmal Nagar police station area.

The alleged attackers monitored the area for 25 days
Based on information provided by sources in the Mumbai Police, the crime branch claimed that during interrogation it was discovered that the accused had links with the Bishwoi gang. Sources said the accused had been monitoring the area for the past 25 to 30 days. The three accused arrived in a rickshaw at Bandra East, where the shooting took place.
Sources also said that before attacking Baba Siddiqui, the three accused stayed there for some time, waiting for his arrival. Police suspect the defendants also obtained inside information from others. Currently, the police are conducting a rigorous investigation into the entire incident.
