Malayalam film actor Siddiqui was once again questioned by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) in connection with the rape case against him on Saturday. This is the second time that the SIT is questioning the actress in connection with a case registered against her. Senior police officers questioned Siddiqui for about two hours at the cantonment police station here.

According to police sources, Malayalam actor Siddiqui arrived for questioning around 10.40 am on Saturday and returned around 12.30 pm. Earlier this week, on Monday, the SIT interrogated the actor for about four hours. An actress alleged that Siddiqui sexually harassed her on the pretext of getting her a film job.

The actress alleged that actor Siddiqui sexually harassed her at a hotel in Thiruvananthapuram. The Supreme Court granted his interim arrest last week after the Kerala High Court rejected his anticipatory bail plea. The High Court had earlier rejected his bail plea.

A case has been registered against actor Siddiqui under Sections 376 (rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC. The defendant claimed that the victim had been harassing him with false accusations since 2019. The case is part of Justice K’s probe into sexual harassment allegations against Malayalam film celebrities following the Hema Commission report.

Let me tell you that the Hema Judicial Commission report has many major revelations. Accordingly, many actresses have stated in statements that there is rampant physical and mental exploitation in the Malayalam film industry. Heroes rule there. The 295-page report, released five years later, revealed shocking facts. The report took everyone by surprise.

The report discusses everything from sexual exploitation to casting and harassment. People are fully aware of how bad the situation of women is in the Malayalam film industry. According to this, any work in the film industry is done according to the wishes of the protagonist. Didn’t listen to the heroine at all. This report includes a large number of industry leaders.

Producers, directors and actors are included in this group. They decide who should work in the movie and who shouldn’t. It said: “No man or woman would dare say anything insulting to a member of a powerful group because such a person would be removed from the industry by the powerful lobby.”
