Jayant Chaudhry to fight separate battles with BJP in Maharashtra-Jharkhand, will also field candidate in Nagpur

BJP leader JP Nadda and RLD leader Jayant Chaudhary.

The dates for the assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand are yet to be announced, but political parties have started campaigning. Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary’s Rashtriya Lok Dal is also trying its luck in the two states. The party will field candidates in all parliamentary seats in the two states. The party will also field candidates from Nagpur, the Sangh stronghold in Maharashtra. Assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand will be held by the end of this year.

Trilok Tyagi, national general secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Party, said Chaudhry Charan Singh has a large group in Nagpur, Maharashtra. In Nagpur, he was welcomed by thousands of clock cars. He also told that there are many people in the Kurmi community in Nagpur. They were all followers of Chaudhry Charan Singh Ji. Not only that, he also revealed that RLD will hold a large meeting in Nagpur on October 14. After this, a meeting for the Jharkhand Assembly elections will be organized in Ranchi.

What are your thoughts on elections outside the coalition?

Trilok Tyagi further said in an interview with NI that Charan Singh used to talk about villages and farmers. Therefore, we are also traveling on the same path. When he was asked about the losses suffered by the PPP due to the breakaway alliance statement, he said it was not a matter of profit or loss and he was campaigning to increase the RLD. Their aim is only to form the Lok Dal. Who benefits and who loses is another matter. If the PPP suffers losses, then let us join the alliance. We are ready to fight together.

Candidates will also destroy Sangh strongholds

Tyagi said the Sangh was not overtly involved in politics on the issue of fielding candidates from Nagpur, its stronghold. Our problem in Nagpur will be the villages, farmers, workers and youth. All castes are talked about among the youth. We will hold elections on these issues. Crime increases due to unemployment, so to eliminate crime, unemployment must first be eliminated.

On a question on how many seats the party will field in Maharashtra and Jharkhand, Tyagi said that by the end of this month, they will decide how many seats the party will field in these two electoral states. Where demand is high, Union Minister Jayant Chaudhary will also join the party’s campaign trail.
