Popular Apple TV+ Comedies shrinkSeason 2, starring Jason Segel, Harrison Ford and Jessica Williams, returns on Wednesday, October 16. Fans can look forward to the next 12-episode season, which promises to pick up where season one left off, offering new storylines and the addition of guest stars that will change everything.

Created by Bill Lawrence, Jason Segel and Brett Goldstein (for Ted Russo), shrink Always loved by fans. The show was renewed for a second season before the first season aired in 2023, a testament to its popularity and critical acclaim. The first season currently has a ratings of 91% on Rotten Tomatoes and an audience score of 87%.

Who will return for season 2?

Fans will be happy to see the beloved main cast returning for season two. Jason Segel reprises his role as Jimmy Laird, a grieving widower and unconventional therapist. Harrison Ford returns as Paul, Jimmy’s boss and mentor, while Jessica Williams returns as Gabby, their friend and co-worker. Season 1 Review

Season 1 introduced viewers to Jimmy Laird, who was struggling to cope with the loss of his wife. As a therapist, Jimmy finds himself losing patience with traditional empathy and compassion and instead begins meddling in his patients’ personal lives – a decision that leads to both humorous and heartfelt consequences. His unorthodox methods attract the attention of his boss Paul (Harrison Ford), who suffers from Parkinson’s disease, and Jimmy is repeatedly warned not to cross boundaries with clients.

Jimmy’s personal life was also in turmoil. He struggles to reconnect with his teenage daughter Alice, who has felt emotionally distant after her mother’s death. Alice, who loves playing soccer, is also dealing with grief. In a bold move, Jimmy decides to take in one of his patients, Sean, a troubled young man who has been kicked out of his parents’ home due to violent behavior and multiple arrests.

Meanwhile, Jimmy’s co-worker Gabby is grappling with her own problems, including a recent divorce. At the end of Season 1, Jimmy and Gabby begin sleeping together, complicating their friendship.
