New date for BPSC 70th CCE Preliminary Examination 2024: The BPSC 70th CCE examination will not be held on November 17, 2024. The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has decided to postpone the BPSC 70th CCE Prelims. The exam will be conducted in December.

The BPSC 70th CCE preparatory examination was originally scheduled to be held on November 17, 2024, but has been postponed to December. The exam will be held on December 13-14, 2024. However, the online process for this exam is still in progress and will last until October 18. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of the Commission, bpsc.bih.nic.in.

Why is the BPSC exam postponed?
The board informed all district magistrates through a letter that the exams have been postponed due to “unavoidable reasons”. He said in the letter that 70,000 to 800,000 candidates are expected to take the exam. The need for establishing adequate number of examination centers at the district level to accommodate such a large number of candidates was stressed.

Job vacancy details
A total of 1957 vacancies were filled in this examination, including 1954 70th CCE vacancies and 4 Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) vacancies. A total of 1,929 vacancies were previously advertised, which were later increased.

exam pattern
The BPSC 70th CCE Examination 2024 will be divided into two stages: Preliminary Examination and Main Examination. The initial test lasts for two hours, includes objective questions, and is worth a total of 150 points. Negative points will be applied for incorrect answers. Candidates who pass the preliminary examination will be able to take the main examination.

Application fee
General category applicants have to pay a registration fee of Rs 600, while the registration fee for all other applicants is Rs 150. People using Aadhaar cards for identification will also have to pay an additional biometric fee of Rs 200.
