October 10, 2024: Bigg Boss 18 faces controversy, PETA India urges Salman Khan to remove donkey from show

Salman Khan’s reality show big boss 18 The show is in trouble after People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) India called for the removal of a donkey featured in the show. The animal was introduced as the 19th contestant named Gadhraj, sparking public concerns about the ethics of its appearance on the high-profile show.

Through the letter, PETA India asked Salman to use his influence “to urge show producers to avoid using animals as entertainment props”.

“Not only does this prevent the animal from being stressed and the audience upset, but it also sets a strong precedent,” it reads.

In the letter, the nonprofit also requested that the donkey be handed over to PETA India for “rehoming to a sanctuary” where it can live with other rescued donkeys.

Complaints center around the idea that donkeys are confined to a small space and exposed to the elements, which is particularly distressing for a prey animal like the donkey.

PETA India has written to Bollywood superstar Salman Khan, urging him to use his influence to ensure the donkey is removed from the set. The group has raised concerns about the treatment and use of the animals, which they say can cause unnecessary stress and harm. The call highlights growing calls for better animal welfare practices, particularly in the entertainment sector.
