Huge number of bullets recovered from Ballia station to be delivered in Chhapra, Bihar

Smuggling of arms and bullets continues unabated in Uttar Pradesh. A large quantity of bullets was recovered from Ballia railway station. The recovered bullets will be sent to Chhapra, Bihar. Meanwhile, smugglers were arrested with country-made pistols.

Two people armed with weapons and bullets were arrested at Ballia train station. Both men are said to be weapons smugglers. The weapons will be delivered in Chhapra, Bihar. Even before that, both men were arrested during the investigation. In Ballia, GRP police arrested two persons with weapons and a large number of cartridges at platform 2 of the railway station. The names of the arrested accused are Rashid Kumar and Ranjit Kumar. Both the arrested accused are residents of Jaunpur district.

The two accused were arrested during the inspection, police said. 825 rounds of ammunition, including 315 caliber and 32 caliber, have been recovered from it. At the same time, two country-made pistols were also seized. During interrogation, the men told them that Shubham Singh, a resident of Jaunpur, used to give them bullets.

After getting the ammunition from Shubham Singh, both of them would go to Chhapra in Bihar for delivery. Bullets and weapons are transported only by train. Shubham Singh used to tell them whom to send in Chapra. Both of them had been delivering goods in Chhapra, Bihar. Legal action has been taken against the accused who were arrested with weapons and bullets and they will be produced in court.
