After auctioning the properties of former Pakistan President General Pervez Musharraf, the Baghpat district administration has now declared 66 Bihas lands belonging to members of his family as enemy property. DM Baghpat JP Singh said that on the instructions of the Home Ministry, properties registered in the names of persons traveling to Pakistan have been declared enemy properties. After Partition, all members of Musharraf’s family went to Pakistan, but his farmland and other family members’ properties remained here. People occupied it and engaged in agricultural work. Recently, the government declared the Musharraf brothers’ properties as enemy property and put them up for auction. 13 large parcels of land are being auctioned online. Its price is Rs 14 lakh.

The lands were purchased by two farmers living in Baghpat. Thereafter, after searching other properties registered in the name of Pakistanis, which were declared enemy properties by the Baghpat district administration, only 66 Bihas lands were found. First, it was registered as enemy property in the records and now the government is preparing to auction this land online for people living in Pakistan. The auction is also expected to fetch revenue worth several crores of rupees.
