Kareena Kapoor Khan expresses excitement and congratulates team Ms. Lapata In recognition of their selection as India’s official entrants for the 2025 Academy Awards.
Taking to her Instagram Story, she shared the poster of the film and wrote, “Great story deserves great recognition. Congratulations @roadyness @aamirkhanproducts. So happy for you @pratibha_ranta @nitanshigoelofficial @shrivastavasparsh @ravikishann.”
Karisma Kapoor also joined in the celebrations, posting a congratulatory message on her Instagram Story along with the message ‘Kiran’ along with clapping, heart and smiley face emojis.
Directed by Kiran Rao and produced by Aamir Khan Productions, Kindling Pictures and Jio Studios, Ms. Lapata Releases in theaters on March 1, 2024. The film has a strong cast including Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Ravi Kishan and Chhaya Kadam.
Expressing her gratitude for the recognition, Kiran Rao said, “I am very happy. I did not expect to be in the Oscars as a lot of good films were made this year. Now we will get a chance to showcase the film to a larger audience,” she highlighted “It’s very encouraging when a film like this becomes the country’s official Oscar entry,” he said.
Kieran acknowledged the challenges faced in the Oscar journey, but remained optimistic: “The Oscar journey will not be smooth sailing, but we will do our best.” She thanked the team for the 4-5 years of hard work in filming, and expressed the hope that the film will be Resonating with audiences around the world.
