Police also found a trolley bag in Mahalakshmi’s room. According to Bengaluru police sources, the killers may have conspired to put the body in the same bag and dump it somewhere outside. But since there were so many people here, he might not have had a chance to dispose of the body parts.

Hemant Das even accused Ashraf saying that Ashraf and Mahalakshmi had an affair and because of that, he and Mahalakshmi separated nine months ago.

After Hemant complained, the police started looking for Ashraf. Ashraf was working in Bangalore at the time. The police took him back to the police station for questioning. and interrogated him in detail. Police released Ashraf after interrogating him based on his statement, his location over the past 20 days, call details and eyewitness testimonies. According to police sources, Ashraf has no connection with Mahalakshmi’s murder. Instead, the real killer is currently in Bangladesh.
