The political temperature is high in Maharashtra ahead of the assembly elections. All political parties are busy preparing. Meanwhile, the India Today Conclave 2024 kicked off on Wednesday at Taj Lands End (Hotel), Mumbai. Many big names from politics to film and business are involved. On the first day of a two-day conclave, ‘What next for the RSS?’, Sunil Ambedkar, the Sangh’s all-India propaganda chief, answered many questions candidly.

During this period, while talking about the vision of RSS, he said that RSS, as a social organization, serves the development of the country. The organization’s philosophy is that no one should be dependent on anyone. Whatever we have done so far, we remember that people from all walks of life should be prepared and step up. We strive to create a network for this purpose. The plan behind this is that in the coming times, India should not be dependent on anyone. No one should have to struggle with poverty. Our future story will be about giving everyone a chance.

The most important thing, he said, is social harmony in our country. Since there are many faults and problems in society, the entire society should act together. This is a basic concept. Our country and we believe in our potential. We are confident to move forward. We hope to inspire this enthusiasm among young people across the country. I see such enthusiasm among young people today.

From the Sangh’s perspective, what good and bad things have happened in the country in the past 10 years? In this regard, Sunil Ambedkar said that we have seen that the country is facing many challenges before. They remain a challenge. To do this, we have to do a lot of work. I believe governments and political parties have a role to play in this, but society also has a role to play in this. Society should also stand up and discuss the issues being discussed by the government.

What did Ambedkar think about women’s participation in the Sangh?

On the issue of women’s participation in the Sangh program and lack of women in senior leadership, he said the work of the Sangh was mainly done through shakas on the ground. That’s why we formed the Sangh in 1925. Rashtriya Sevika Samiti was established in 1936. So no matter what branch is set up, the way of working is different. Everything that involves nation-building, every issue that involves the country, determines women’s participation. The structure of the Sanger branch includes males. Women join committees.

RSS members want to do good work: Sunil Ambekar

Asked whether people join the organization because it will enhance their political growth or advance their political journey, Ambedkar said the Sangh works on the ground. People who join RSS want to do good things for society. He said: “The Sangh training is very tough, you have to go to Shaka every day and it involves a lot of physical training and discipline. We have a lot of people coming to us every day who want to do well. “We have a lot of them. People from IT industry, they want to serve others, even if they join us for political gain, they automatically start doing good work, we don’t care about those who are involved in other jobs. “

Also expressed his thoughts on violence in Manipur

Regarding the violence and situation in Manipur, he said that the situation in Manipur is very worrying. Mohan Bhagwat ji also expressed concern about this. Sanger workers are heading to the surface. Explain to people how to live peacefully. The workers continued to be busy there. Try to reach out to everyone in society. We have said many times that this solution should be found as soon as possible. But when such a situation arises, it cannot be resolved quickly. Hopefully a solution will come soon. The government should stop those carrying weapons. Control them.

Many times, the government takes such decisions when the Sangh thinks differently. How is coordination achieved? Ambedkar said to this, we are in a democracy. Everyone has their own opinion on this. When Sangh workers work, they go into the fields. They have their own opinions. The government has its own position. What is the legal, political, financial status of any decision? Therefore, in a democracy, everyone has the right to make their own decisions. Just like there are 10 issues and there is agreement on 6, if there is no agreement on 4 then the democratic conflict continues.

Reacting to BJP president Nadda’s statement on the RSS during the Lok Sabha elections, Sunil Ambedkar smiled and said, “We solve family problems like family problems. We do not discuss such issues in public forums ”

Kejriwal’s five questions answered

When Kejriwal asked RSS five questions, he said I think they should focus on politics. Politics is accomplished through hard work. Must go to the ground. People see your efforts. Vote based on this. Do this to him. There will be more benefits. The union will do its job. Sanger believed that people in society should always remain united. Even if the political views differ. Today people have understood that India’s strength lies in its unity. People might be confused for a few days, but not forever. The Sangh’s job is for the long term, so we don’t think like a party that forms the government for 5 years.

On the issue of caste census, he said that in our society, especially in Hindu society, there are definitely some people who are being left behind because they speak in the name of caste. This is the real fault line in our society. If the government wants to collect data for the welfare of the people, then yes. But politicizing it and using it to gain votes is very wrong.

Ambedkar: Wrong to give political color to conversion issue

During the conclave, Ambedkar was asked about the RSS’s views on forced conversions and the initiatives taken by the organization to address the issue. In this regard, he said: “Forced conversion is wrong, whether through inducement, lies or intimidation. Of course, wherever it occurs, there will be opposition, and we stand with those who object. Wherever this issue arises, We are all against it. “However, people are giving this issue a political tone, which is wrong. “
