Kangana Ranaut, a Lok Sabha member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and a Hindi film artiste, posted a video taking a U-turn on her statement. In a video posted on social media, she said I stand with my party on the farm laws issue and takes back my words. “In the last few days, the media has asked me about the farm laws and I have made some suggestions that farmers should demand the Prime Minister to reinstate the farm laws. Many people were disappointed with my remarks,” Kangana said.
He further said that when the farm laws were introduced, many of us supported them and later we withdrew the farm laws with great sensitivity and it is the responsibility of all our workers to maintain the dignity of their speech.

Kangana Ranaut said: “I also have to remember that I am no longer just an artist but a BJP worker. My views should not be my own but the party’s stand. If my words or thoughts disappoint anyone, I take them back.”

What did Kangana say about the farm laws?
“I know this statement may be controversial but the three farm laws should be restored,” Kangana Ranaut told reporters in Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi constituency. “Farmers themselves should demand this.”
Kangana argued that all three laws were beneficial to farmers, but the government withdrew them due to opposition from farmer groups in some states. He said that farmers are the backbone of national development. I would like to appeal to them to demand the restoration of the law for their own welfare.
